A special cross community choir has performed in Cloonavin to mark Northern Ireland’s first Shared Education week.
Pupils from Killowen Primary School and St John’s Primary School sang an original song to an audience which included the Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council Councillor Brenda Chivers.
The lyrics illustrated the importance of working together and respecting each other.
Killowen Primary School's Shared Education Officer, Gillian Cuddy has been telling Q Radio about the scheme:
Following the performance, the Mayor said: “I would like to congratulate pupils and staff from both schools who have done so much to promote shared education.
"I was honoured to meet with those involved and I thoroughly enjoyed their entertaining performance.
" have no doubt that these valuable lessons in working together will have a lasting impact. Young people are so important to our future and I would urge them all to keep living and learning together for the benefit of everyone.”
