Vehicles of Enforcement officers working for Fermanagh and Omagh District Council will be installed with dashboard cameras.
It's in a bid to tackle illegal littering in the area.
Following a recent report from the local authority's Environmental Services Committee, it showed that 5 out of 11 cases prepared for court, were lost due to a lack of evidence.
The evidence relied solely on the officers witness statement.
By installing vehicle dash cameras, they'll be able to provide images of the offences by giving undeniable evidence when it comes to the courts.
It will also save time and money in preparation for court cases.
As the use of dash cameras can be used as a source of evidence; the initiative will provide as an additional deterrent to littering, fly-tipping and dog fouling.
This further helps to reduce the cost of litter clearance and street cleansing.
