
Minister for Communities Paul Givan, MLA, welcomed tenants to their new homes in a new housing development in Coleraine
The £1.75 million scheme at at Lisnablagh Road, Harpurs Hill, Coleraine was supported by the NI Executive, through the Department for Communities through a Housing Executive Housing Association £925,000 grant, with the remainder being provided through private finance secured by Triangle Housing Association.
Officially opening the new development, Minister Givan said: “This excellent new development provides modern, energy efficient homes to a range of families and individuals in this locality.
“The provision of this housing development is the result of much hard work and determination from all parties including Triangle Housing Association, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and Cross Glebe Community Association. I congratulate Triangle for once again providing high quality homes which the residents I have spoken to are extremely pleased and proud to live in.”
Chris Alexander, Chief Executive, Triangle Housing Association welcomed the Minister and thanked him for officially opening the scheme. He said: “Triangle is very proud of this scheme, which has provided high quality housing for 20 households. This scheme represents a long term commitment by Triangle to the local community here at Harpurs Hill.”
Speaking of the active participation of the local Community Association, Mr Alexander added: “We acknowledge the support that we have received from the Community Association from the initial planning of this development, through the construction period and now following the completion of this successful project. We look forward to building closer relationships with the local community as part of our commitment to improve the lives of our tenants and contribute to the improvement of the local area.”
