Causeway Coast and Glens PSNI are promising to step up rural patrols to help stop farm thefts.

Superintendent John Magill made the pledge to MP Gregory Campbell and party colleagues.

Earlier this week the Chief Constable announced a further £40 million of cuts.

The PSNIs Rural Crime Unit was also recently wound up.

Mr Campbell says people hearing about budget cuts can create a self-fulfilling prophecy:
