A Trocaire official is calling for more attention to be paid to what has been described as the brink of the largest humanitarian crisis since the Second World War.
The UN says more than 20 million people are close to famine.
Officials say people in Nigeria, South Sudan, Somalia, and Yemen will simply starve to death, unless there's a major global effort to help.
Sean Farrell from Irish charity Trocaire, has returned from South Sudan.
He's been speaking to Q Radio.
Meanwhile Phillip Graham of Oxfam Ireland told us it represents a failure on the part of the public worldwide.
