iCare in Portrush shortlisted in the top three for two different categories
iCare opticians opened in Portrush in April of 2014 and now finds its work rewarded, making the shortlist in two Association of Optometry Awards. iCare has been nominated as the best overall Practice as well as the best young practice.
Making the shortlist in both categories means that iCare will at the very least, place in the top three of both categories. And iCare owner, Stephen Vandevyver told Q Radio News that he was'overwhelmed' by the outcome.
"We're so really honoured and privileged" said Stephen "we just find it a joy to serve the people of Portrush and the North Coast". Stephen also believes the nomination isn't just good news for his own practice, but for the area as a whole.
"It's a fantastic boost to our local area" said Stephen "to have Northern Ireland's optometry industry officially recognised is such a an honour." the Association of Optometrist Awards is now in its sixth year and recognises the highest level of achievement in UK optics.
The results of the awards will be announced at a black tie dinner in February of next year.
