Northern Ireland is at risk of falling behind the rest of the world in fighting climate change.
That's according to Clare Bailey who spoke to Q Radio before travelling to the Cop 26 climate summit which begins today.
Leaders from around the world will attend the conference in Glasgow, which many hope will be a turning point, in the battle to avert the worst effects of climate change.
The Green Party leader says without a clear commitment to net zero emissions, Northern Ireland will be at the back of the pack.
Ms Bailey said: "The science couldn't make it any clearer. We are in code red for humanity. Our time is up and we must take urgent action to address the climate emergency."
She added: "As I prepare to go to Glasgow I'm painfully aware that Northern Ireland is the only part of the UK and Ireland that has no net zero target and indeed no climate legislation at all as yet."
