Man taken to hospital following North Belfast stabbing

A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after a stabbing incident in North Belfast.

The victim suffered a number of wounds when it happened on the Antrim Road shortly after 2.30 this afternoon.

His injuries aren't believed to be life threatening.

 

 

A PSNI spokesperson said:

A report was received shortly after 2.30pm today that a man, aged in his 20’s, had sustained a number of stab wounds as he walked along the Antrim Road in the area of Dawson Street. The man has been taken to hospital in relation to his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. 

Officers are working to establish a motive for the incident and have appealed to anyone who has any information or dash-cam footage which could be of assistance to contact police at Musgrave on 101. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
