Two men have escaped serious injury following a Crossbow attack in Carrickfergus, Co.Antrim.
A masked man fired an arrow at a black Renault Traffic van at around 5.15 yesterday.
It happened in the forecourt of a petrol station on Prince Andrew Way.
Minor damage was caused to the vehicle - but the two men inside the van were not injured.
East Antrim MLA Stewart Dicksonsays the attack was a “sinister incident”.
“The use of such a serious weapon makes this a particularly sinister incident,” said Mr Dickson.
“The crossbow is a lethal weapon and its use could be considered attempted murder. My thoughts are with the two men who were the victims of this attack, which has shocked the local community."
