A man and woman have escaped unharmed after petrol bombs and bricks were thrown at a house in Ballymena.
It happened in the Railway Street area of the town early this morning.
PSNI Detective Sergeant Peter Crothers said: "At around 12:15am police received a report that a petrol bomb had been thrown at a house.
"Two bricks were thrown at the property, smashing a front room window, followed by two petrol bombs one of which hit the house.
"There was scorch damage caused around a window frame and the front door of the property.
"Thankfully, a man and a woman inside the house were uninjured.
"I would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity at all in the area to contact Detectives in Ballymena on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 9 of 23/02/18.
"Alternatively, information can also be reported to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
