A masked gang threatened a woman before firing shots in the air in Dungiven last night.
The men approached a house in the Ard Na Smoll area at around 8.45pm.
The woman, who was inside a property at time, was not injured.
Following the incident, the group made off in what has been described as a silver coloured jeep.
Detective Sergeant Wallace said:
"Our investigation into this incident is ongoing and I would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Coleraine on 101 quoting reference number 1263 of 12/10/16 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
