Two men due in court accused of Robbie Lawlor murder in north Belfast

Two men have been charged with the murder of Robbie Lawlor in north Belfast.

They are also accused of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life. 

Both suspects - aged 37 and 45 - are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court today.

Lawlor (36) was shot in Etna Drive in the Ardoyne at about 11.50am on Saturday April 4.

The Dublin criminal had previously been linked with the murder of teenager Keane Mulready-Woods in Co Louth in January.

A PSNI spokesperson said: ''Detectives investigating the murder of Robert Lawlor at Etna Drive in Belfast in April have charged two men aged 37 and 45 with murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

''Both men are due to appear at Belfast MC on Friday 11th December.

''As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.''
