Derry City went down 2-0 against Bohemians at the Brandywell last night.

Declan Devine's men stay fourth in the League of Ireland, but slip six points behind the Dublin side.

Reigning Women’s Premiership League Cup holders Linfield Ladies were eliminated by Sion Swifts Ladies in the competition’s quarter-finals on Monday night.

Chloe McGlade netted the opener for the Strabane-based side in the third minute at New Midgely Park after a goalmouth scramble with Aimee Mackin doubling the lead midway through the half.

Linfield Ladies piled on the pressure in the second half but were thwarted by a fine defensive performance from the visitors and a string of excellent saves from Jamaica international goalkeeper Nicole McClure.

Megan Bell found the net for the Blues in extra time but it wasn’t enough to save the holders from defeat against opponents whom they defeated 1-0 on the opening day of the league campaign a fortnight ago.

A double from Rachel Rogan helped last season’s beaten semi-finalists Glentoran Women to a convincing five-goal victory over Comber Rec Ladies.

Nadene Caldwell opened the scoring for the Glens with Sarah Gamble and Olivia Marshall also on target for Diarmuid O’Carroll’s side.

Derry City’s quarter-final tie against Crusaders Strikers at the Limavady Showgrounds will now be played on Monday 6 May, with the winners to meet Glentoran.

Sion Swifts Ladies will face Cliftonville Ladies - who received a bye in the last eight - in the semi-finals.
