He went off the road on Saturday while holding down fifth spot.
The Citroen driver was in a battle for a podium spot.
But after the crash, he fell out of contention.
His car emerged unscathed.
Meeke lost over eight minutes as spectators helped to rescue him from a snow bank.
Finnish driver Jari-Matti Latvala won the rally for Toyota.
