Police are appealing for witnesses following several incidents in Limavady that could potentially be linked.

A van was stolen from a property on the Bovevagh Road in Dungiven and was crashed in the Linenhall/Main Street area of the town, shortly after 3am on Wednesday.

Two men made off on foot from the scene, in the direction of the rugby club.

It's understood the occupants spoke to people who were sat on a bench on Market Street prior to the crash.

Following this incident, a number of attempts were made to enter vehicles in the Bovally area.

In McQuillan Park, a motorbike was taken from a garage and money was stolen from a car; while in Meadowvale Park a purse was stolen from another vehicle.

It's understood the motorbike was located in the nearby area.

Finally a white Citroen car was stolen from the Broighter Gardens area shortly after 5am.

Police say a person wearing a hooded top and a person wearing a bobble beanie hat were seen in the area.

They're also keen to speak to a third man, who was not involved in the incident, but was seen walking in the area wearing a backpack.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents, are urged to contact the PSNI by calling 101 and quote reference CCS 240 01/08/18.

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous.
