A young Dungannon entrepreneur is representing Northern Ireland at a global young leaders' conference in Toronto this week.
Eighteen year old Iveta Liovinaite from St Patrick’s College was selected by Young Enterprise to attend the Next Generation Leaders Forum.
She has started her own business with the support of Young Enterprise over the last 10 months.
Iveta was runner-up of the Young Enterprise of the Future award following a business pitch to a panel of top business leaders here.
This year, the annual event is being held at York University in Toronto.
During the week-long forum, 150 young people will exchange their insights and perspectives with business leaders to tackle business challenges faced by global organisations.
Young Enterprise Chief Executive Carol Fitzsimons says she knows it will be life-changing for Iveta, giving her a global dimension to her experience on the Company programme this year.
“We always get great feedback on the level of talent that attends from Northern Ireland, and it is a wonderful for her to represent us on this international scale,” she adds.
Young Enterprise NI is part funded by the Department of Education and is a member of the Junior Achievement Worldwide family of charities.
