Police have arrested a man and a woman in Downpatrick following a police pursuit which started in Comber this morning, Sunday 13th November.
Inspector Nigel Donnelly said: “Shortly before 1.10am, local police officers noticed a BMW car driving erratically in the Killinchy area.
“Police signalled for the vehicle to stop but it failed to do so and a pursuit was then authorised by specially trained officers.
“Officers deployed stinger devices in the Downpatrick area before the vehicle was eventually stopped. The car was searched and a number of items were seized, including a quantity of suspected Class C Controlled drugs.
