A man's been charged with attempted murder after an assault in Derry Londonderry which left another man critically ill in hospital.
The victim was taken to hopsital after the incident in Cornshell Fields on December 2nd last year.
A 23 year old will appear before the city's magistrates court this morning charged with a number of offences.
They include attempted murder, aggravated burglary and stealing, aggravated burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
