Detectives have launched a murder investigation after the discovery of a woman's body in Belfast.
The woman was found in a flat in the Larkspur Rise area in the west of the city.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested.
The body was discovered last Friday but detectives only confirmed on Wednesday that they were treating her death as murder.
The man was detained earlier on Wednesday, the PSNI said.
Officers have not given any further details about the fatal incident.
PSNI Detective Chief Inspector Alan Dickson said: "Detectives from Serious Crime Branch have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of the body of a woman at a flat in the Larkspur Rise area, Belfast on Friday October 6."
