A man's been charged with with grievous bodily harm with intent after a woman was stabbed in her home in Ballymoney.
It happened in the Shandon park area in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Police say the woman's injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening.
The suspect has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
He's due to appear in court tomorrow.
A PSNI statement said:
"Detectives in Coleraine investigating the report of an assault on a female in the Shandon Park area of Ballymoney in the early hours of yesterday morning, Saturday 6 July, have charged a man with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence."
Detective Inspector Peter McKenna said:
“We received the report that a woman had been stabbed by a man in her home in the Shandon Park area at around 1am on Saturday morning. The woman’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.”
The man is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates’ Court on Monday 8 July.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
