Army bomb experts have removed a suspected World War Two grenade from Bangor.
The local MLA, Alan Chambers, has said the grenade was taken by a "young finder" to his home in Lisnabreen in Bangor.
Police confirmed that the device was made safe in the town.
PSNI in Bangor reporting find of a wartime grenade found in a forest in Newtownards today and brought home by the young finder to his home in Lisnabreen area of Bangor. Understand it's being dealt with by army bomb squad. Grateful as ever for their expertise in such situations.

A police spokesperson also confirmed it was initially found in a forest near Newtownards earlier in the day.
