Derry City boss Kenny Shiels has signed a contract extension to stay on at the club until the end of the 2018 season.
Shiels has guided the club back into European football for next season, he said:
“I can see the seeds which are being planted and where want to take the club and it’s great to be part of something which is growing
“I feel positive with the people I work with and there’s very, very good chemistry with the people around the club and that was the biggest influence in mind way of thinking and I think it’s fantastic.
“I’m in a good place with the people here and I have formed good relationships so these are the important things for me, building happy and consistent relationships with people and these were the influential mechanisms that helped me make my decision.”
