Derry City and Strabane District Council's (DCSDC) Access and Inclusion Project, supported by Public Health Agency is currently developing a business case and action plan that will further support the council area to work towards becoming autism friendly.
The council has appointed Hummingbird (NI) CIC to complete this business case and action plan, to ensure those living with autism have their views reflected.
Hummingbird is now extending an invitation to attend one of two workshop sessions that are planned.
The first workshop session will be held in the Fir Trees, Strabane on 20th February at 7pm, if people are unable to attend that date, there is a second session which will be held in the Waterfoot Hotel on 26th February at 10am.
Noelle Donnell, a director at Hummingbird is encouraging not only those living with autism to come along, but their families and local businesses as well to recognise how to become more autism friendly:
All views are welcome. If anyone is unable to attend but would like to make a contribution they can email hummingbirdni2015@gmail.com.
