Gardaí issue renewed appeal on 5th anniversary of Andrew Allen murder

The mother of a Derry man gunned down in County Donegal five years ago has called on his killers to search their conscience.

An Garda Síochána has issued a renewed appeal for information over the murder of Andrew Allen.

The 24 year old was shot dead in front of his partner at his Buncrana home on the 9th of February 2012.

In 2015 the charity Crimestoppers issued it's first cross-border appeal for information on the murder.

Thousands of leaflets were distributed across Derry and County Donegal, urging people to come forward.

Donna says the past five years have been difficult for the family:

Gardai believe that up to 12 people were involved in the father of two's killing and a number of others may have vital information.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said:

“An Garda Síochána are grateful for all the witnesses that have come forward and made statements but Gardai believe that there are still people in our community who have information which may assist with the investigation.

“Gardai wish to appeal for anyone with information or who can assist with this investigation to come forward.
