Police responding to two security alerts in Belfast after suspicious objects found

Police are currently at the scene of two security alerts at Mayfield Square in the Blacks Road area of west Belfast and at Strandtown in east Belfast.

Army Technical Officers have been tasked to examine suspicious objects at both locations and police cordons are in place.

Mayfield Square cannot be accessed from Blacks Road, however, Blacks Road remains open at this time.

Holywood Road, Dundela Avenue are both closed to traffic at this time and four properties have been evacuated.

There are no further details at this time.
