The Northern Ireland women's team lost 3-0 against Norway in Tuesday night's World Cup qualifier at Shamrock Park in Portadown.

The visitors, top seeds in the group, hit two late goals to sink Alfie Wylie's team.

Seven Danske Bank Women’s Premiership players started for the Green and White Army.

Captained by Cliftonville Ladies’ Marissa Callaghan, other representatives from the local league included her Reds teammate Billie Simpson, as well as goalkeeper Lauren Perry and Kirsty McGuinness of Linfield, Jessica Foy and Demi Vance from Glentoran and Julie Nelson of Crusaders Strikers, who was winning her 97th cap.

Linfield's Alison Smyth and Megan Bell were also capped as second-half subs.

Meanwhile, Sion Swifts Ladies’ 16-year-old Amy Boyle Carr made her debut for the Republic of Ireland senior team in their World Cup qualifying defeat to the Netherlands.
