Cliftonville lost 1-0 at Carrick Rangers. Lloyd Anderson gabbed the winner and Darren Murray made his Carrick debut after joining on loan from Glentoran.
Meanwhile, Crusaders moved up to second spot, a point behind the Glens, following a 3-0 home win over Larne.
Glenavon won by the same score at Ballymena while Coleraine had a 4-0 victory away to bottom club Warrenpoint - Jamie Glackin hit a hat-trick.
