Jordan Jenkins grabbed a late winner for Gary Hamilton's men who also had a player dismissed at the end of a controversial clash at the Oval.
John Herron and Callum Birney picked up straight reds in the first half, while Willie Garrett and Glenavon's Rhys Marshall got their marching orders following a skirmish in the closing stages.
Robbie McDaid had put the home side in front with yet another goal against his former club then Andy Hall equalised in the second half.
Garrett had two cleared off the line at the other end before teenager Jenkins struck four minutes from time.
